Inspired By… An Inspiration Celebration. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?

I’m going to wager a guess that you love finding inspiration. I mean, you’re here, right? You cruise around Pinterest, scroll through Instagram, snap photos on shopping trips, and leave comments on blogs. We all have the ability to teach one another, and THAT is inspiring!

This week, we are going to take some time to celebrate Inspiration in many forms. We’ll have inspiring quotes for you to pin. We’ll tell our stories and celebrate diverse sources of inspiration. And prizes? Of COURSE there will be prizes!

We’ll be honoring teachers, coaches, and mentors. We’ll give you the opportunity to share your favorite inspirational quotes. You’ll be able to pay tribute to inspiring historical figures and artists. It’s sure to be a week to connect with one another and say, “thanks for the inspiration!”

Inspirational Teachers

As the school year hurtles toward the end and right on the heels of Teacher Appreciation week, it’s the perfect time to remember those teachers who have touched our lives.

When I was a high school English teacher, the Henry David Thoreau quote below was one of my favorites to share with the graduating class (along with this one from Dylan Thomas). Teachers spend hours molding children and young adults to go boldy into the future.

I want to tell you about a teacher who inspired me. He was soft spoken but firm. He would randomly burst into song  and could quote long poems from memory. He loved geography, art, history, and music. He was a man of God. And another pretty cool thing? He was (and still is!) my dad. Yes, my dad taught all four of his children in the 7th and 8th grades, and he was the principal too. Talk about pressure! HA! But I think we all turned out OK.

Now let’s take a look at this fun teacher inspired prize we’ve gathered. One winner will take away the Office Space stamp set, Office Supplies Die-namics, and an autographed copy of Melody Ross’s book Choose Happy which is sure to inspire you for a long time! All winners will be announced next week, so stay tuned for the announcement!
